Back-to-back earthquakes measuring 6.7 and 7.1 in magnitude have occurred off the coast of the Banda Sea in Indonesia.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the 6.7 and 7.1 magnitude earthquakes was approximately 340 kilometers south of Indonesia's Maluku province.
According to initial reports, there was no loss of life or property in the earthquakes, which occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers in the Banda Sea.
No tsunami warning was issued following the earthquakes.
