7.8 magnitude earthquake in Russia
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake has occurred on Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula, and a tsunami warning has been issued.

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake has been recorded off the coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake occurred 145 kilometers east of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center of the U.S. National Weather Service in Hawaii has issued a tsunami warning following the earthquake.
It is not yet known whether there has been any loss of life or property damage from the earthquake.
