Donald Trump, elected as the 47th president of the US, has made his first appointment. Trump, who will officially take office on January 20, has named his White House Chief of Staff.

Donald Trump, who won the presidential election in the US, announced that Susie Wiles, one of his campaign managers, will serve as White House Chief of Staff after he takes office.
In a written statement, Trump noted that campaign manager Susie Wiles helped him achieve "one of the greatest political victories in American history."
Stating that Wiles was an integral part of his presidential campaigns in both 2016 and 2020, Trump described her as "tough, smart, and innovative."
Trump said, "It is a well-deserved honor to have Susie as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history. I have no doubt that she will make our country proud."
WHEN WILL TRUMP TAKE OFFICE?
In the presidential election held in the US on November 5, Republican Trump surpassed 270 electoral votes and earned the right to become the country's 47th president.
Trump will take the oath of office and officially begin his term on January 20, 2025.
