It has been reported that a man in Germany received 217 Covid vaccinations against medical advice. The case was documented in the journal The Lancet, and the vaccines were obtained over a period of 29 months. Researchers from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg determined that the man did not suffer any adverse effects following the vaccinations.
Dr. Kilian Schober from the university's department of microbiology stated, "We contacted him and invited him to undergo various tests in Erlangen. He provided fresh blood and saliva samples. Using these samples, we sought to determine exactly how his immune system responded to the vaccination."
Messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) vaccines function by showing body cells a bit of genetic code from the virus. The immune system then recognizes and knows how to fight it when it encounters Covid.
While Dr. Schober noted concerns that overstimulating the immune system with repeated doses could fatigue certain cells, no evidence of this was found in the 62-year-old man.
It is estimated that the man has not been infected with Covid to date.
