A series of rockets fired from Lebanon toward Haifa and the vicinity of Nazareth in northern Israel

Air raid sirens sounded in the city of Haifa and its surrounding areas, including the city of Nazareth, after the Israeli Home Front Command announced new security instructions for regions such as the Galilee, which extends to the Lebanese border north of Haifa.

According to reports from Israeli state television, 15 rockets were fired from Lebanon deep into Israeli territory.

Footage captured by mobile phone cameras showed a missile hitting a location in Nazareth, causing a fire. On social media, images were shared showing interceptor missiles fired from air defense systems moving toward the incoming projectiles, followed by explosions in the air, particularly around the city of Nazareth in northern Israel.

According to reports in the Israeli press, Hezbollah's latest attack targeted the Ramat David airbase, an Israeli military facility near the city of Haifa.

Lebanon's Hezbollah has not yet issued a statement regarding the attacks.

ISRAEL ISSUED NEW SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS

The Israeli Home Front Command issued new security instructions to its citizens in the evening hours. According to the instructions, gatherings are restricted to 30 people in open areas and 300 people in closed areas, provided there is a shelter. It was reported that educational and business activities in these regions could continue normally if a safe shelter is available nearby. All beaches in these regions have been closed.

Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari said in a press conference that warnings could be updated in the event of a rocket or other attack.

Clashes between the Israeli army and Lebanon's Hezbollah continued throughout Saturday, September 21, with mutual tension.

Lebanon's Hezbollah launched an attack on regions in northern Israel with more than 100 rockets. Hezbollah's attacks caused fires in some areas in northern Israel and the occupied Golan Heights, and some locations were struck.

Similarly, the Israeli army announced that during the day, in two separate series of airstrikes, it destroyed hundreds of rocket launchers as well as thousands of warheads at approximately 300 locations in the Beqaa Valley and southern Lebanon.

AIRSTRIKE ON BEIRUT

In an airstrike carried out by the Israeli army on the southern suburbs of Beirut on September 20, 37 people lost their lives, including 7 women and 3 children.

Hezbollah announced that 15 of its members, including senior military commander Ibrahim Akil, were killed in the attack.

A total of 76 people lost their lives in the explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon on September 17-18, followed by the subsequent attack on Beirut.

Clashes, which have intensified from time to time, have been occurring between the parties on the Israel-Lebanon border since October 8, 2023.

The international community is warning against the outbreak of a regional war in the face of Israel's successive attacks.
