Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian continues his contacts in Qatar. The Iranian Minister met with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in the capital, Doha.
"UNACCEPTABLE"
During the meeting, where the latest situation in Palestine was discussed, the cessation of Israel's attacks on Gaza and humanitarian aid to Palestinians were addressed. Abdollahian stated, "If Israel continues its war crimes and atrocities against Palestinians, no one can guarantee that the situation in the region will remain as it is. The US administration invites regional countries to remain calm while the Israeli regime continues its massacres, yet it provides all kinds of aid to Israel and paves the way for war crimes. The Israeli regime targeting civilians every day is intolerable. The attacks on Gaza, the siege, and the obstacles placed on the delivery of humanitarian aid must be removed" he said.
"COULD LEAD TO DIRE CONSEQUENCES"
Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, for his part, called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and said they are continuing their efforts regarding the protection of civilians and the release of hostages. Stating that Palestine is on the agenda of all Islamic countries, Al Thani said that all countries are acting in unity regarding supporting the Palestinian people. Pointing to the danger of the tension created in the region as a result of Israeli attacks spreading, Al Thani made the statement, "The spread of the wave of violence to wider areas could lead to dire consequences."
