Aid tragedy in Gaza: 12 Palestinians drowned, 6 crushed to death
The Media Office of the government in Gaza announced that 12 Palestinians drowned and 6 were crushed to death due to aid dropped from the air into the region. The media office called for aid to be delivered by land rather than by air.

Gaza has been hit by a tragedy following humanitarian aid operations conducted by various countries via air drops.
In a statement issued by the Media Office of the government in Gaza, it was stated that some of the aid dropped from the air fell into the sea, and 12 Palestinians who attempted to reach the aid drowned and lost their lives.
It was also reported that stampedes occurred at various points where the aid landed, resulting in the deaths of 6 Palestinians.
LAND AID REQUESTED
The Media Office stated the following:
“We call for an end to air-drop aid operations and demand the immediate opening of land crossings to deliver humanitarian aid to our Palestinian people who are facing hunger and famine.”
