Al Arabiya: New round of US-Iran talks to be held in Pakistan on July 11

Saudi Arabia-based news channel Al Arabiya has made notable claims regarding the next round of negotiations between the US and Iran. The report suggests that Pakistan is expected to host a new meeting on July 11 as part of diplomatic efforts to reach a lasting agreement between the parties.

According to the report, three main topics will be on the table during the talks: US sanctions on the Tehran administration, Iran's frozen assets, and the country's nuclear program.

Sources stated that the level of the delegation that will represent Iran has not yet been decided, and that this decision will become clear after the funeral ceremony of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in US and Israeli attacks, is completed.

The claim comes at a time when indirect diplomatic contacts between Washington and Tehran have been ongoing for months through mediator countries such as Pakistan and Qatar. The parties aim to both contain the rising tension in the region and reach a consensus on Iran's nuclear program.

Indirect talks were held in Qatar

The parties last held indirect technical talks in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Wednesday. US President Donald Trump described these contacts as "very good." The Iranian side announced that an agreement had been reached during the talks to release a portion of Iran's billions of dollars in frozen assets.

Furthermore, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced that an agreement had been reached to establish an official communication channel for reporting and recording violations of the memorandum of understanding signed between the parties.
