Al-Qassam Brigades Spokesperson Abu Obeida stated in a post on his Telegram account that they released the US mother and daughter in response to Qatar's efforts.

MESSAGE TO THE US

Abu Obeida used the following expressions: "We have done this to show the US and the world that the claims made by US President Joe Biden and his fascist administration are baseless."

The Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson had previously stated in a statement that they were holding between 200 and 250 hostages.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Israel had cut off electricity, water, and food aid to Gaza, announcing that this strict embargo would continue as long as the hostages were not released.

Hamas had proposed releasing the hostages in exchange for a ceasefire.
