Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari answered a question regarding the targeting of Al-Shifa Hospital during a press conference.
HOSPITAL STILL UNDER THREAT
Regarding the possibility of targeting Al-Shifa Hospital, where thousands of wounded and civilians are sheltering in Gaza, Hagari said, "All options are on the table in this war." Hagari claimed that "hundreds of Hamas militants fled to Al-Shifa Hospital to hide following the October 7 attack."
Yesterday, the Israeli army had targeted Al-Shifa Hospital, where thousands of wounded and civilians are located, by alleging that it is being used for "terrorist activities."
STATEMENT FROM THE GAZA GOVERNMENT
Following this, Salameh Marouf, Head of the Media Office of the government in Gaza, held a press conference in the hospital's emergency department building, stating, "Israel's threat against Al-Shifa Hospital means a death sentence not only for the thousands of patients and wounded currently there, but also for every wounded and sick person brought to the facility in the coming days as a target of the occupation."
"WE DID NOT EXPECT THIS"
Stating that Israel's claims and graphics regarding Al-Shifa Hospital are fabricated and consist of lies that even a small child would not believe, Marouf added, "We did not expect their sick imagination to reach the point of threatening the largest health complex in Gaza, which houses thousands of medical staff, patients, and tens of thousands of displaced persons."
Following the press conference, Marouf took representatives from numerous international media organizations, including an Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent, on a tour of all the facilities at Al-Shifa Hospital, which Israel had identified as a target.
