Sokoto Deputy Governor Idris Gobir stated in a press release that 3 children have died so far in the state due to the "undiagnosed disease."
Gobir said that 127 children are also receiving treatment due to the illness.
Noting that he has sent a team of experts to investigate the cause of the disease, Gobir requested assistance from the federal government to prevent the spread of the illness.
