Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of the first housing project in the liberated city of Shusha. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Aliyev emphasized that the restoration work in Shusha was carried out in accordance with detailed, cultural, and the most modern urban planning rules.

In his speech, Aliyev reacted to France's arming of Armenia, saying, "Our policy is based on international law and justice.

If revanchist forces in Armenia rise up again and we see that the lethal weapons France is providing to Armenia reach a critical level, let no one hold us responsible for what happens.”

Stating that no one can stand before the Azerbaijani army, Aliyev said, “Everyone already knows what we can do, what our army can do, and how strong our will is. No one can force us to accept anything, and no one can interfere in our internal affairs.”

"WE HAVE SHOWN OUR WILL ONCE AGAIN"

Stating that the Azerbaijani Army demonstrated its strength in counter-terrorism operations, Aliyev said, “As a result of the counter-terrorism operation, we liberated our historical and ancient lands from the occupiers. We have once again shown the strength of our state and our strong political will.”

Emphasizing that they carried out the operation without fearing anyone, Aliyev said, “We carried out the operation with great professionalism, without settling scores. Thus, we have fully restored the state sovereignty of Azerbaijan.”

Stating that the houses in Shusha were built with traditional architecture, Aliyev said, “Today, a new era for Shusha begins. In my speech on November 8, 2020, I said that we would revive Shusha, and today we see these words coming true.”

"WILL REBUILD"

Stating that the foundation of the 3rd housing project was laid on the 101st birthday of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev, Aliyev said, “450 apartments will be built in the first project, approximately 300 in the second, and approximately 500 in the third. Some are already completed, and today the owners of these apartments will move in.”

Aliyev said, “All houses have been built with beautiful architecture in the traditional Shusha style. The people of Shusha will live comfortably in these new homes, and they will rebuild and preserve the history of their homeland.”
