Ami Dror, who served as the head of Netanyahu's security detail in the late 1990s, made previously unheard-of revelations about the prime minister and his family in a podcast interview. While claiming that Sara Netanyahu suffers from kleptomania, Dror stated that he personally witnessed her stealing towels and various gifts from hotels where they stayed during official trips.
In his statements targeting the Netanyahu family, Ami Dror also alleged that the Prime Minister's son, Yair Netanyahu, physically attacked his father. Stating that Yair was sent to Miami after leaving Israel following the incident, Dror noted that this was not an ordinary argument, but a situation that required intervention. Dror described the event with the words, "It wasn't a karate chop, but it was an assault that required intervention."
In another allegation, Dror stated that Benjamin Netanyahu would leave the bill for others after dining at restaurants, describing him as "someone who does not cover his own expenses."
Dror continued his accusations regarding Sara Netanyahu as follows:
"I have said this before and I stand by it: Sara Netanyahu is a kleptomaniac. I personally saw gifts disappearing and towels being stolen from hotels."
Kleptomania is defined as a psychological disorder in which a person feels an urge to steal items they do not need.
