In the same statement, Liberman, who believes that the new draft law exempting Haredim from mandatory military service legitimizes draft evasion, also noted that this situation undermines social consensus.

Liberman also mentioned that they have received reports that Hamas is increasing its effectiveness in the Gaza Strip and has begun producing rockets again. The Israeli politician claimed that Hamas is consolidating control in Gaza and has begun rebuilding its military capacity.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem responded to these claims by saying that Israel is engaging in propaganda to justify its ongoing attacks on Gaza. Qassem emphasized that the statements coming from Israel regarding Hamas's military structure are untrue.
