In a statement released by Hamas, it was stated that Said Ali, one of the leaders of the organization's armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades in Lebanon, was killed along with his family.
The written statement from Hamas indicated that Said Ali, a member of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades' leadership in Lebanon, lost his life along with his wife, Shaima Khalil Azzam, and their two children in an Israeli attack on his home in the Beddawi Refugee Camp in the north of the country.
The statement noted that in the face of ongoing Israeli massacres, the Qassam Brigades would make Israeli leaders pay the price for these decisions to commit murder.
Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh also lost his life as a result of an assassination carried out by Israel on July 31, 2024.
An AA correspondent in the region noted that this attack on the Beddawi Refugee Camp was the first strike against cities in the north since the clashes between Israel and Hezbollah began in October 2023.
Furthermore, it was stated that the attack was carried out by an Israeli UAV.
Most recently, Fateh Sharif Abu al-Amin, one of the Hamas leadership figures in Lebanon, and his family lost their lives in an Israeli attack on the El-Bass Refugee Camp in the south of the country on September 30.
