Armed attack in Abkhazia: Two members of parliament wounded

According to the Abkhazian Ministry of Internal Affairs, two members of parliament were wounded in the armed attack. The ministry announced that one member of parliament wounded two of his colleagues in the parliament, and one of them died in the hospital.

 

The statement said, “As a result of an armed conflict that occurred in the Abkhazian parliament, two members of parliament were wounded. The conflict took place between members of parliament Adgur Kharazia, Kan Kvarchia, and Vakhtang Golandzia. Kharazia fired several shots, and Kvarchia and Golandzia were wounded.”

 

Shortly after the attack, it was learned that Vakhtang Golandzia had died. The Ministry of Health stated, “Golandzia has died; he had been wounded in the head. Kvarchia's life is not in danger; he was wounded in the shoulder.”

 

It was stated that the armed attacker, Adgur Kharazia, fled the scene.
