Armed attack in the US: Many dead and wounded

It has been reported that at least 22 people were killed and dozens were injured in an armed attack in the US state of Maine. Schools have been closed due to the incident, and authorities stated that they are searching for the suspect of the armed attack.

Maine police stated that an unidentified suspect in the city of Lewiston opened fire on people in 3 separate locations, resulting in the deaths of 22 people and leaving nearly 60 others injured.

Auburn Mayor Jason Levesque stated in a press release that schools have been closed due to the incident and that authorities are searching for the suspect of the armed attack in Lewiston.

Additionally, the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office shared two photos on social media showing the suspect in a firing position with a rifle in his hand, calling on local residents to assist in identifying and apprehending him.

Security camera footage showed the suspect, wearing a brown jacket and black pants, targeting people with a long-barreled weapon in his hand.

It was noted that the suspect, who is thought to have prepared for the attack based on his clothing, was not wearing a mask and did not appear concerned about concealing his identity.
