Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan's remarks on Karabakh

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made notable remarks on the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, which was adopted on August 23, 1990.

He stated that the Karabakh movement, which was considered part of Armenia's struggle for independence following the collapse of the Soviet Union, could harm the country's independence process. Pashinyan said, "Continuing the Karabakh movement would destroy Armenia's independence."

While emphasizing that the Karabakh issue poses a threat to Armenia, Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the confrontational patriotism of the Soviet Union laid the groundwork for this problem.

Pashinyan stated, "In light of the information I have obtained as Prime Minister, I have concluded that continuing the Karabakh movement would cause serious harm to our country's independence."
