Attack on French base in Iraq
In Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq, a military base jointly used by Peshmerga forces and French soldiers was targeted by an attack using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It was reported that 6 French soldiers were injured in the attack.

According to information obtained from security sources, an attack was carried out with two UAVs on a military base in Erbil where KRG Peshmerga forces and French troops are stationed together.
It was stated that the international coalition forces present at the base were targeted during the attack.
It was reported that, according to initial assessments, 6 French soldiers were injured due to the explosions.
Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw stated in his announcement that the attack took place in the Molla Kara sub-district of Makhmur district, adding that while 6 French soldiers were injured in the attack, no injuries were recorded among the Peshmerga forces.
While no official statement has yet been made by French military authorities regarding the condition of the injured soldiers and their evacuation processes, it was learned that the injured were transferred to military hospitals in the region.
On the other hand, it was reported that attacks targeting an Italian base and the US Consulate in Erbil also took place last night.
