Attack on US base in Iraq

A rocket attack was carried out on the Ain al-Asad Air Base in Anbar, western Iraq, where US troops are stationed.

NO CASUALTIES IN THE ATTACK

Iraqi security sources stated that 2 Grad missiles fell in the vicinity of the base, noting that security forces conducting a search in the area after the attack discovered a missile launcher. Security sources reported that there was no damage or loss of life in the attack.

ISLAMIC RESISTANCE ORGANIZATION CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ATTACK

While US military bases in Iraq and Syria have frequently been the target of attacks following Israel's offensive on the Gaza Strip, the Islamic Resistance Organization, which gathers Shiite armed groups under its umbrella, claimed responsibility for the attack.
