'Attack' panic at Beirut Airport: All flights suspended

Due to the threat of a possible attack by the Israeli army on Lebanon, all arrival and departure flights at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport have been suspended. It was observed that all flights at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport, starting from the evening of July 28 and continuing until now, have been suspended on the flight information display screens.

According to the flight information provided on the airport's website, all flights arriving from and departing to various points around the world from Beirut were marked as "cancelled" or "postponed."

Lebanon's state-owned Middle East Airlines (MEA) had announced yesterday that it was postponing some flights from Beirut until the morning of July 29.

12 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

It was announced that 12 people, including children, lost their lives and 35 people were injured, 17 of them seriously, as a result of a rocket hitting a football field in the town of Majdal Shams in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

The Israeli army stated that "as a result of the intelligence they possess and the assessments they have made," the rocket was fired from north of the town of Shebaa in southern Lebanon, and declared that Hezbollah in Lebanon was responsible. Hezbollah in Lebanon, however, denied the allegations that the attack in Majdal Shams was carried out by them, stating that they had no connection to the incident.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also stated in his remarks regarding the attack, "Israel will not let this deadly attack pass. Hezbollah will pay a heavy price that it has not paid so far."
