The depletion of gasoline stocks at fuel stations in Novorossiysk, one of Russia's key port cities on the Black Sea, has shaken the city's agenda. The increase in Ukrainian drone attacks on fuel facilities in recent weeks has led to a complete shortage of gasoline in the city.
In an announcement made by the municipality, it was reported that gasoline sales have been halted at all stations across Novorossiysk, with only a limited amount of diesel available at eight stations. Furthermore, it was stated that the remaining fuel can only be purchased by company vehicles using special fuel cards. It was observed that citizens are facing long waits in their efforts to find gasoline.
The primary reason for this crisis in Novorossiysk is the recent series of attacks by Ukraine targeting oil refineries. As a result of these attacks, numerous fuel refineries and storage facilities have been rendered inoperable, negatively impacting the country's production and distribution chain. Existing facilities have been taken in for maintenance and repairs.
