Back-to-back 5.8 and 6.6 magnitude earthquakes in Fiji
Two earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.8 and 6.6 have occurred off the southern coast of the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific.

In a statement from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), it was announced that the epicenter of the 5.8 and 6.6 magnitude earthquakes was off the southern coast of the Fiji Islands.
The earthquakes, which occurred approximately 7 minutes apart, were recorded at depths of 584 kilometers and 553 kilometers, respectively.
According to initial reports, there was no loss of life or property, and no tsunami warning was issued following the earthquakes.
