Belarus issues 'NATO' warning: Nuclear weapons will be used, World War III will begin

Lukashenko evaluated current issues in an interview with the Russian state television channel "Rossiya".

Pointing out that Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) had previously violated his country's airspace, Lukashenko said this had happened multiple times.

Stating that they have taken the necessary precautions against potential threats from Ukraine, Lukashenko noted that they have placed mines and troops along the Belarus-Ukraine border.

Evaluating the possibility of NATO sending troops to Ukraine, Lukashenko said, "If they (the Westerners) send in NATO troops, World War III will begin. Because in that case, both tactical and strategic nuclear weapons will be used, and there will be an immediate, horrific response."

Stating that they do not want the situation to escalate, Lukashenko said, "We do not want a war with NATO. However, if they do this, we will have no other choice. There will be no red lines left. We have only one line, and that is the state border. The moment they step on the border, there will be a response."

"THEY NEED TO SIT AT THE NEGOTIATING TABLE REGARDING THE UKRAINE ISSUE"

Pointing out that the Ukrainian army entered the Kursk region of Russian territory on August 6, Lukashenko assessed, "Ukraine is escalating the situation. If it continues like this, this tension could result in the destruction of Ukraine."

Emphasizing that Russia and Ukraine should therefore restart peace negotiations, Lukashenko said that the agreement prepared in Istanbul in March 2022 could be used as a basis for the talks. Lukashenko said, "The situation on the ground has changed, but it can be started from there. It is necessary to sit at the negotiating table and resolve the issue. There is such an opportunity."

President Lukashenko continued as follows:

"You (the Russians) sometimes talk about Nazis. There are no Nazis left there (in Ukraine). Ukraine has been denazified. There are a few Nazis left there, but they are not taken seriously. Today, more than 70 percent of the Ukrainian people hate Zelensky. Because Zelensky did not keep his promises, and that is why people are dying."

"NO ONE NEEDS THE ARMENIANS EXCEPT US"

Pointing out that Armenia has been pursuing a policy of rapprochement with the West recently, Lukashenko said, "Who needs the Armenians except us? No one needs them. The Armenians need to develop their own economy and focus on what they have. Which France, which (French President Emmanuel) Macron? Macron will not be there tomorrow, and everyone will forget about Armenia."

Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries turn to Russia and Belarus for help in emergency situations.
