Beware of Israel's new spyware Aladdin: Expert issues warning

Israel, which has caused the deaths of thousands of civilians with its attacks, particularly in the Gaza Strip, continues its operations despite warnings from world governments regarding this issue.

During this process, Israel also utilizes spyware to conduct intelligence operations in order to stay informed about threats directed at it.

In a post on his social media account, which he based on Israeli news sources, Cybersecurity Researcher Ersin Çahmutoğlu discussed Aladdin, a piece of spyware from an Israeli cyber intelligence company.

Here is the post in which Çahmutoğlu warns computer users:

"A new piece of spyware from the Israeli cyber intelligence company Intellexa has been discovered!

This spyware, called Aladdin, is very different from others. It infiltrates your phone through advertisements that appear instantly on websites you visit.

For example, let's say you enter a website to read the news. Within seconds, advertisements appear at the bottom, right, or left of the screen. Aladdin appears before you as an advertisement containing spyware, and it infiltrates your device even if you do not click on the ad or anywhere else. You don't even realize it has infiltrated. It doesn't matter if it's Android, iPhone, or Windows. It infiltrates them all. Even if you are using the most up-to-date version.

According to the information that has emerged, there is nothing the spyware cannot obtain from your phone after infiltration. It can turn the camera, microphone, and location on and off instantly, record the environment in real-time, take photos, access your contacts, and read all your messages and conversations...

There is no way to block this spyware, which uses ad exchanges. However, experts believe that using ad blockers in browsers might be effective.

Looking at what Aladdin does, it doesn't seem different from Pegasus and Predator, but its infiltration method is completely different. 

They only sell this Aladdin spyware, from Intellexa, which has made a name for itself frequently in the last two years, to intelligence services. But we don't know which ones have it. Israel is definitely using it, I am sure of that.

We will hear more about this new type of spyware in the billion-dollar cyber intelligence sector. We previously learned that the Sherlock spyware from the Israeli company Insanet also infiltrated using the same method.
