Biden delivers address to the nation

U.S. Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris suffered a defeat against Republican candidate Donald Trump.

U.S. President Joe Biden spoke for the first time today following the election results.

Addressing the nation, Biden said regarding the election results, "We must accept the choice the American people have made."

In his speech regarding the election results, Biden stated:

"On January 20, there will be a peaceful transfer of power in the U.S.

The results have proven that our system is fair, transparent, and reliable.

In a democracy, the will of the people prevails; I congratulate President-elect Trump.

We accept the country's choice."
