Biden makes statement regarding Israel-Lebanon ceasefire

US President Biden held a press conference at the White House to announce the ceasefire reached between the governments of Lebanon and Israel.

Biden stated that thanks to long-standing diplomatic efforts led by the US and France, a ceasefire agreement has been reached between the governments of Lebanon and Israel, and that the ceasefire will take effect today at 04:00 local time.

President Biden emphasized that putting an end to the "devastating conflict" between Israel and Hezbollah is of great importance for the region.

A NEW MOVE ON GAZA

Joe Biden stated that with the step taken toward resolving the Israel-Hezbollah crisis through a ceasefire, all eyes will now turn to Gaza.

Biden said, "In the coming days, the US will make a new push for a ceasefire in Gaza, together with Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, and Israel."
