Bill Gates announces he will donate his entire fortune!

Bill Gates has announced that he will donate almost his entire personal fortune over the next twenty years and that these donations will reach the world's poorest regions through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. While announcing this decision, Gates said, "I do not want to be remembered as a rich man."

Gates stated that the closure of the US aid agency USAID by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is under the control of Elon Musk, has caused a decline in global aid. Gates remarked, "It is unacceptable for the richest person to make life harder for the poorest children."

THE FUTURE OF THE GATES FOUNDATION

While explaining his plan to rapidly divest his wealth, Gates stated that the Gates Foundation will be closed at the end of 2045. The Microsoft founder said, "When I die, people may say many things about me, but they will not say 'he died rich'."

Gates expressed that by donating his fortune, he aims to set an example for other wealthy individuals and hopes they will take similar steps. "If donations are made faster and on a larger scale, significant progress can be made for the world's poorest people," he said.

200 BILLION DOLLAR TARGET

The Gates Foundation's annual budget is planned to reach 9 billion dollars in 2026, with a total of 200 billion dollars to be spent by 2045. However, this target may change depending on economic conditions and inflation. Gates noted that despite some governments reducing aid, some countries in Africa are allocating resources from their own budgets to close this gap.

Gates drew attention to the importance of US support in the fight against diseases such as polio and shared that he has held discussions with Trump in recent months regarding global health investments.
