Bodies of US soldiers killed in Iran war brought back to their country

The bodies of 6 US soldiers who lost their lives in the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran have been brought to Dover Air Force Base in the state of Delaware. The ceremony held there was attended by US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump, US Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, as well as high-ranking military and government officials. Trump and other participants greeted the coffins, which were taken off the plane one by one and moved to vehicles, with a military salute, while no speeches were made during the ceremony.

6 US soldiers had lost their lives

Following the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran, Iran had carried out retaliatory attacks on Gulf countries hosting US bases. It was announced that 6 US soldiers were killed in the Iranian attack targeting a command center located at Shuaiba Port in Kuwait.

Trump had announced that a ceremony would be held

In a statement yesterday, Trump had announced that a ceremony would be held at Dover Air Force Base for the soldiers who lost their lives. Stating that he would attend this ceremony along with his wife and some members of his cabinet, Trump had expressed that he would honor the US soldiers who died while fighting for the last time.
