US Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the FBI, in Los Angeles and Orange County, California, targeted US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel and vehicles in a series of bomb terror attacksannouncing that the attack was thwarted, "The far-left, anti-government and anti-capitalist group known as the Turtle Island Liberation Front was preparing to carry out a series of bomb attacks targeting multiple locations in California starting from New Year's Eve. The group was also targeting ICE agents and vehicles.also planned to target," she said.

Four people linked to the terrorist attack, identified as Audrey Illeene Carroll, Zachary Aaron Page, Dante Gaffield, and Tina Lai, were taken into custody in San Bernardino, California, and were charged with conspiracy and possession of an unregistered destructive device.The investigation is ongoing.

According tothe uncovered attack plan,the group was going to placeexplosive devices at five different locations in the Los Angeles area at midnight on New Year's Eve. Thesuspects named the attack"Operation Midnight Sun" and planned to test the improvised explosive devices they were preparing on December 12 in the Mojave Desert.It was reported that the FBI intervenedagainst the suspectsbefore they could complete the explosive devices.
