As reported by NTV citing AFP, it was announced that 450 people were taken hostage as a result of the attack.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which claimed responsibility for the attack, stated that there are also security personnel among the hostages.
Following the incident, security forces were dispatched to Mushqaf in the Bolan region of Balochistan. Government spokesperson Shahid Rind reported that the local administration has taken emergency measures and that all relevant units have been mobilized to bring the situation under control.
Militant groups in Balochistan have long been conducting armed resistance against the Pakistani government and military. At the same time, attacks targeting China's economic projects are also being carried out in the region. The Baloch Liberation Army, which acts with the demand for independence, is known as one of the largest ethnic insurgent groups in Balochistan.
