According to information provided by local sources, the attack took place in the Glilot area in Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv, where the Israeli foreign intelligence agency Mossad and the military intelligence unit known as Unit 8200 are located. It was stated that 4 Israeli soldiers died in the incident.

Eyewitnesses stated that a truck drove at high speed into a crowd waiting at a bus stop. 40 people were injured in the incident, four of them seriously. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals by numerous ambulances that arrived at the scene.
