The Israeli military announced that Ali Yusuf Harshi, who was both the nephew and personal secretary of Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, lost his life in an airstrike carried out in Beirut. According to the statement, the attack took place in the Tallet Khayat neighborhood, located outside the Dahiyeh district where Hezbollah holds significant influence. A partial collapse occurred in a multi-story building following the strike.

The military reported that Harshi was both Qassem's nephew and his personal secretary.

Meanwhile, the Reuters news agency initially reported that Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem had been killed. In a correction issued shortly after, it was stated that the person who lost his life in the attack was not Qassem, but his nephew and secretary, Harshi.

In its statement, the Israeli military noted that an individual from the inner circle of Naim Qassem, who is said to have assumed the leadership of Hezbollah following Hassan Nasrallah, was targeted. No official statement has been made by Hezbollah regarding the matter yet.

The military's statement included the phrase, "We have neutralized Ali Yusuf Harshi, the personal secretary and nephew of Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem."
