Breaking News... Jihadist groups in Syria have reached Damascus!

Jihadist groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) have continued their attacks against Assad forces in Syria since November 27.

Continuing their advance, the jihadist groups have reached Damascus.

SYRIAN ARMY LEAVES AREAS IN AL-HASAKAH AND QAMISHLI TO PKK

Assad forces, withdrawing from the east of the Euphrates River, have left the areas they held under control in Al-Hasakah and Qamishli to the occupation of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG. A source close to Hezbollah announced that the organization has sent 2,000 of its members to Syria.

The armed groups, which captured the provincial center of Quneitra in the southwest of the country, have advanced toward the center of Damascus.

The armed groups, clashing with Assad forces, have entered the Darayya suburb south of the capital.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN SYRIA

Clashes between Assad regime forces and anti-regime armed groups began on November 27 in the western countryside of Aleppo province in northern Syria.

On November 30, the anti-regime groups, having taken most of the center of Aleppo from regime forces, established control over the entire Idlib region on the same day.

Following intense clashes, the groups took the city center of Hama from regime forces on December 5.

Jihadist groups had begun to advance in the strategically important Homs province, which opens to the capital Damascus, by capturing some settlements there.

Military opposition forces, which launched an operation on December 6 in the Daraa province on Syria's border with Jordan, had retaken the provincial center from regime forces following the clashes.

The entire As-Suwayda province in the south of the country also came under the control of opposition groups on December 7. On the same day, local opposition forces in Quneitra also secured control of the provincial center.
