The tomb was at risk in 2015 due to intense attacks by the terrorist organization ISIS. For this reason, the historic tomb was relocated to Eşme on the Turkey-Syria border in a major operation involving 39 tanks, 57 armored vehicles, 100 vehicles, and 572 personnel.
