'Bribery' accusation against Netanyahu
Yair Lapid, leader of the main opposition Yesh Atid party in Israel and former Prime Minister, has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of 'bribing' his coalition partners.

In a post on his social media account, Lapid made statements regarding the bill that exempts ultra-Orthodox Jews from military service, following the resumption of legislative work by the Israeli Parliament (Knesset).
"While there are still female soldiers held by Hamas in Gaza, the Israeli government is supporting a draft law for draft evasion," Lapid stated, expressing his reaction to the bill.
Accusing the Netanyahu government of "betraying patriots," Lapid reacted by saying, "We will fight against this shameful law."
Regarding the exemption of ultra-Orthodox Jews from military service, Lapid criticized the government, stating, "Netanyahu is bribing his coalition partners to stay politically afloat while sending soldiers to war."
Avigdor Liberman, leader of the opposition Yisrael Beiteinu party in Israel, also stated that the bill "harms the unity and strength of the nation" and demanded that the Netanyahu government "cancel the draft evasion law."
Liberman called for the enactment of a law requiring everyone living in Israel to perform mandatory military service at the age of 18.
