Building of Putin's party set on fire

In Russia, a 16-year-old individual set fire to the Arkhangelsk office of the United Russia Party, which was founded by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

An attack was carried out in Russia against the United Russia Party, founded by President Vladimir Putin. The Arkhangelsk office of the United Russia Party, which is known to collect donations and aid for the Russian army in the Ukraine war, was set on fire by an individual identified as being 16 years old.

In footage captured by security cameras last night, the individual, who had their face covered, was seen attacking the party building with an incendiary substance from a package they brought with them.

The party building burst into flames following the attack, but fire crews extinguished the blaze before it could spread throughout the building. No one was injured as the attack took place late at night.

"INVESTIGATION CONTINUES"

In a statement released by the Investigative Committee of Russia, it was announced that a person alleged to have carried out the attack had been identified and apprehended. The statement said, "The suspect was taken into custody within a few hours by teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) with the support of police forces. It was determined that the suspect is a 16-year-old resident of the city."

Noting that the suspect had been looking for part-time work online, the statement added, "An application has been made to the court for the investigation to continue with the suspect's arrest. The investigation is ongoing to identify others involved in the incident, including the possibility of links to Ukraine."

Meanwhile, it was learned that the individual is still being held at a detention center.

The United Russia Party was founded in 2001 under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, by Dmitry Medvedev and Andrey Turchak, and has won every election by a wide margin since its inception. Putin has participated in every presidential election as the candidate of the United Russia Party.
