Ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel conclude
Diplomatic sources reported that the ceasefire and hostage exchange talks between Israel and Hamas, which had been ongoing in the Egyptian capital Cairo, have concluded for now, and that Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, CIA Director William Burns, and Mossad Chief David Barnea have departed from Cairo.

Talks between Israel and Hamas regarding a new ceasefire and the release of hostages, which had been ongoing in the Egyptian capital Cairo since yesterday, have concluded.
Diplomatic sources stated that the talks have ended for now, noting that Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, CIA Director William Burns, and Mossad Chief David Barnea have departed from Cairo.
NO NEW TALKS PLANNED UNTIL A RESPONSE IS RECEIVED FROM HAMAS
Sources indicated that while Israel is open to the release of hostages and a pause in hostilities in Gaza, it has so far rejected Hamas's demand for the release of a large number of Palestinian prisoners. The sources explained that while the negotiations are ongoing, no new meetings are planned until a response is received from Hamas.
Stating that despite no concrete progress being made in Cairo, the mediators remain determined to keep the talks from stopping, the sources announced that an agreement is not expected to be reached in the near future.
On the other hand, Egyptian media had previously announced that the talks were proceeding in an extremely “positive” manner and would continue for another 3 days.
