CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper has issued a warning to Iran. Making statements regarding the operation dubbed "Project Freedom," which was launched to have US military ships escort vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, Cooper stated that he "strongly advises" Iran to stay away from US military forces in the Strait of Hormuz.
Cooper stated that the US military struck and sank 6 Iranian boats that were targeting civilian vessels, and announced that they had also destroyed Iranian cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Pointing out that the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz has exceeded expectations, Cooper noted that the blockade continues, stating, "Project Freedom is a defensive operation, and we have deployed ballistic missile defense ships.
The ships in Gulf waters belong to 87 countries, and we advise the vessels to pass through the strait," he said.
