China condemns US attacks on Venezuela

The Chinese administration has reacted to the US attacks on Venezuela.

In a statement from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was emphasized that Beijing "strongly condemns" the US's overt use of force against a sovereign state and its actions against the country's president, stating, "Such hegemonic acts by the US seriously violate international law and Venezuela's sovereignty, and threaten peace and security in the Latin American and Caribbean region. China firmly opposes this." The statement further added, "We call on the US to abide by international law and the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and to stop violating the sovereignty and security of other countries."
