China's support for Venezuela

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a phone conversation with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil.

Minister Wang emphasized support for Venezuela during a period when the US is increasing pressurestating that China opposes "bullying" and supports countries in protecting their own sovereignty.

Minister Wang, in theconversation, also Stating that China and Venezuelaare strategic partners, he noted that mutual trust and support are a tradition of bilateral relations.
