Chinese 'spy' in the US military: Earned $42,000 by selling critical military information to China

US Army Sergeant Korbein Schultz has pleaded guilty in a case regarding the leaking of documents to China concerning his country's critical military capabilities, including missile systems.

Prosecutors stated that Schultz, who is also an intelligence analyst, has earned approximately $42,000 since June 2022 by selling documents containing sensitive US military information to China.

CONFESSED TO THE CRIME

Detained under the indictment prepared against him, Schultz confessed to the charges in the case where he was accused of leaking documents to China regarding military capabilities, including the country's missile systems.

In the indictment, Schultz was accused of leaking documents to China concerning US rocket, missile, and artillery weapon systems, including the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), tactics against unmanned aerial vehicles, military satellites, and studies regarding military exercises and operations in major countries like China.

Furthermore, the indictment noted that a person codenamed "conspirator A," who is said to reside in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, approached Schultz and requested that he leak documents detailing how strategies from the Russia-Ukraine War could be implemented by the US to assist Taiwan in the event of an attack. It was stated that Schultz accepted this, received $200, and that "conspirator A" offered to establish a long-term partnership with Schultz.
