CHP assigns delegation regarding clashes in Syria: They will head to the zero point of the border

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel has assigned a delegation to Hatay to conduct investigations regarding the clashes targeting civilians in Syria. The delegation will examine the situation in the region on-site and prepare a report.

It has been alleged that the clashes that took place in Syria on March 7 and 8 turned into a massacre. Assigning a delegation to investigate the claims, Özel requested that a report be prepared regarding the events in the region. It was learned that the CHP delegation will be led by Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır and Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut.

The members of parliament in the delegation include Hasan Öztürkmen, Melih Meriç, Bilal Bilici, Gülcan Kış, Talat Dinçer, Mahmut Tanal, Cemal Enginyurt, Müzeyyen Şevkin, Servet Mullaoğlu, Nermin Yıldırım Kara, Mehmet Güzelmansur, as well as former members of parliament Alpay Antmen and Cengiz Gökçel.

The CHP delegation will visit all districts of Hatay, where there is a high concentration of citizens who are concerned about the developments in Syria and worried about their relatives.

A comprehensive report will be prepared following the meetings to be held in the region. The delegation will make a public statement at the zero point of the Syrian border.
