According to Al Arabiya, the party's statement noted that 'baseless news is circulating'. The statement, published on social media, included a warning that 'news should only be taken from reliable sources'.
In recent days, the Syrian Presidency had announced that Asma al-Assad had been diagnosed with leukemia.
