Prince Harry, who stepped back from royal duties, has lost his High Court case against the UK government following the decision to "downgrade his security status" while in the UK.

The UK Home Office had announced that police protection was removed following a 2020 decision by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC) to "downgrade the security status" of Prince Harry, as he was no longer a member of the royal family.
Following the decision, Prince Harry initiated legal action against the Home Office. Prince Harry has lost the case he filed against the UK government regarding the downgrading of his security protection level during his time in the UK after leaving the royal family.
High Court Judge Sir Peter Lane dismissed Prince Harry's case. It was noted that the court's decision was not unlawful.
