Colombia severs ties with Israel: 'If Palestine dies, humanity dies'
Colombian President Gustavo Petro has announced that they will sever diplomatic ties with Israel, labeling Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu a 'genocidal' leader.

Speaking at a May Day rally held in the capital, Bogota, Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced that they would sever diplomatic ties with Israel.
Petro stated, "Tomorrow (Thursday), diplomatic relations with the state of Israel will be severed... because they have a genocidal president."
Addressing thousands of his supporters, Petro expressed that he could not accept "genocide, the extermination of an entire people."
Amid the applause of the crowd carrying banners in support of Palestine, Petro said, "If Palestine dies, humanity dies."
The Tel Aviv administration reacted to Colombian President Petro, labeling him as "antisemitic and full of hate."
