Mars, one of the world's largest family-owned companies, has annual sales exceeding 50 billion dollars and a workforce of more than 150 thousand employees. The brand, which produces world-renowned foods such as M&M’s and Snickers, has reached an agreement to acquire the company for a valuation of more than 29 billion dollars, which will be entirely in cash.
Mars plans to pay 83.50 dollars for each share of Kellanova. According to a report by Reuters, this all-cash deal is expected to be announced in the near future. Mars will also assume the company's 6 billion dollars in net debt.
