Costa Rica and Honduras lift mutual visa requirements
Central American nations Costa Rica and Honduras have lifted the "mutual visa requirement" they previously imposed on each other.

Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chavez stated in a press briefing that they have ended the bilateral dispute that was affecting regional trade, noting, "We have now resolved the issue, and we have handled it in a much better way than just obtaining a visa. From now on, no visa will be required for travel by Hondurans to Costa Rica or by Costa Ricans to Honduras, whether by air or by land, regardless of where they are coming from."
Stating that Hondurans and Costa Ricans are brotherly peoples, Chavez said that a wonderful agreement had been reached and that they had made a decision that would make the people of both countries happy.
Under the agreement between the parties, Hondurans and Costa Ricans will only need to present a criminal record certificate during their travels.
