US President Joe Biden answered questions from journalists during his trip to Germany, which had been previously scheduled but postponed due to Hurricane Milton in the US.
When asked by a reporter, "Do you have any knowledge of how and when Israel will retaliate against Iran?" Biden replied, "Yes and yes."
To the reporter's follow-up question, "Can you tell us?" Biden responded, "No and no."
Arguing that there is an opportunity to pause the conflicts between Israel and Iran regarding peace in the Middle East, Biden said, "In my view, there is an opportunity, and my colleagues agree that we can deal with Israel and Iran in a way that potentially ends the conflict for a while."
Biden also stated that he believes there is a possibility of working toward a ceasefire in Lebanon, but noted that such efforts would be more difficult in Gaza.
