Critical summit for the Strait of Hormuz: More than 40 countries at the table

As tensions continue in the Middle East, dozens of countries will discuss military plans for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement issued by the UK Ministry of Defence, it was announced that a meeting regarding the Strait of Hormuz would be held with the participation of more than 40 countries, led by UK Defence Secretary John Heale and French Defence Minister Catherine Vautrin, noting that this meeting would be the first Defence Ministers' Meeting of the multinational mission.
France and the UK had announced that they were deploying aircraft carriers to the Middle East, while Iran had warned the UK and France not to send warships to the Strait of Hormuz. The UK and France are leading efforts to establish a multinational task force to ensure the security of maritime transport in the Strait of Hormuz.
